Sunday Morning Stroll.
What a gorgeous weekend! Sun. Poofy clouds. Roughly about 50-ish. Light jacket weather, my second favorite, only to the sunshiney days of summer. Saturday came and went as I pj-ed my way through job sites and rifled through resumes trying to figure out what I wanted to put together so that I can translate it early this week.
Met up with Erica Saturday eve for a stroll and then we headed over to Fabulas for some dinner (chicken, tomato, spinach crepe), beerses and then treated ourself to cake and apertifs. Mmmmmmm... I then dragged her around Bairro Alto looking for bars that I had come across that I wanted to check out. The evening was lovely, streets fluttering with folks out and about, places starting to fill and many good stories to be made. We made our way to a couple of spots, made some new pals, and somehow stumbled on the cuban place we went to the first week I was in town. And danced ourselves silly into the wee hours.
We found ourselves walking around a super quiet Lisboa this morning and made the most of having the city to ourselves. We stopped in at Pasteleria Suica for a tosta mista (toasted ham and cheese) and a galao (coffee with milk) and then romped and stomped about. I finally had a chance to meet Fernando Pessoa and have a wee chat with him and discussed a bit with a Chiado of sorts.
I got to enjoy a beautiful afternoon with Vivian, Emina and Erica at the cutiest little park in Cascais. Roosters running around making the rounds, pigeons puffing themselves up in the sun, walks through winding streets and rainbows on the way home. A weekend well spent...
