Miss Drepants is a creative human who loves making the heck out of things.

Miss Drepants (aka Andrea Dias Breitman) began her creative adventures earlier than she can remember — collaging and imitating baby chicks hatching from an egg at Montessori in Rio de Janeiro. After moving to the States, she began to explore writing and mark-making via poetry and painting. Losing herself in visual and written arts captured her heart.‍ ‍

Born in Copacabana to creative hippies and later transplanted to the US, Miss Drepants embodies a profound duality — the world seen through the eyes of a first-generation immigrant child whose otherness defines her.

Her curiosity and hunger for transformation feed her artistic vision that cha-cha’s between childlike wonder and resilient grit. She lives in the nooks & crannies of what it means to be an outsider - her artwork, an ode to the black sheep, rebels, and non-conformists through the eyes of ethereal inquisitiveness. ✨

Intentional wonder shows up across everything she makes — illustrations, life drawings, paintings, hours spent walking with a camera. Curious unearthing of the often overlooked is her special space. The person or detail that's easy to walk past. Quiet messages hidden in textured paint. The way rain photographs through a foggy window. Different mediums, same eye.

That eye has been earning its keep since 2000, in one form or another — painter, designer, creative design manager, art director. Different titles, same underlying thread.

Based just outside NYC — she’s close enough to drink up the art and culture flowing through the city, and far enough to settle her mind and sit still with a sketchbook.
