Norway. You've Been Warned.

This morning I left Madrid in the wee hours of the morning and missed it before I even walked into the airport. Which was complete chaos. Because I had planned on a trip to Rome, I had to fly there first then hop another flight to Norway.

I had the pleasure of seeing a fraction of the quirkiness even though I didn't step foot out of the airport. Elbow pads. (Swoon.) Guys wearing complete matching outfits. (Now so swoon.) Also had my backpack lost for the first time which I find hilarious considering if ever there was a place I needed my clothes, it's Norway. Alas I have come to terms with possibly not seeing my things for a couple of days. Though I hope the Dali & Calder DVDs I picked up are still there along with my Dali painting from Barcelona. Fingers crossed.

In the meantime i've been staring out the window reflecting on my journeys so far. Conclusion. I am in complete heart with Lisboa and Madrid. For two completely different reasons of course.

Lisboa for all of its loveliness, the kind of city you can walk around in wonderment everyday. Padarias. Cafezinhos. Praias. Endless hills and cobblestones. And trolleys. Oh the trolleys...

Madrid for its versatility and sass. Underlying charms and calamari and croquetas that would make you sigh. Over and over. Vinos, siestas and endless tapas. Art and fantastical people. Yes please.
