Lovely To Be Back.
It's so lovely to be back in Madrid. I've been walking around, looking for my new little nooks and of course, finding all of the local art stores and fabric stores where I plan to spend many, many days frequenting.
I stopped into Casa de Encendido, which I had heard various people talk about, and was all starry-eyed. A place where you can take classes, just for personal growth sans having to sign up for a full academic program. I would say an Art Students League with a bit more digital and modern take to it. And all pretty dang affordable. Jackpot.
I am full speed ahead on looking for apartments and work and have finally reached a point where I can't wait to find my new home for a while. I want to have my little painting corner. Music playing. Making things. Sunshine. A cafe con leche. Endless afternoons of maniacal inspirations.
My heart is all meep mop murp and I've been spending a bit of time with a gatinho I met on my first visit who makes my insides smile. Dinners with friends on terraces. Sitting in pubs all wooey-eyed. And a smile that never ends. And that always makes things a bit more magical…
Fingers crossed, all of these things will fall together. And Madrid will become my home for a while.
